Fleuriste

Fleuriste is an original concept of a flower shop website designed to simplify the process of choosing and ordering bouquets online. The project focuses on creating a clean, trustworthy, and emotionally appealing shopping experience that feels effortless for users. Many flower shop websites either look visually outdated or rely on overly complex user flows that discourage potential customers. This concept explores how thoughtful UI/UX design can improve trust, usability, and conversion through clarity and simplicity.

UI/UX Designer

Industry:

E-commerce

Challenges

  1. Trust & First Impression: Flower shops rely heavily on visual appeal and emotional connection. Poor design quality or cluttered layouts can reduce trust and negatively impact purchasing decisions.

  2. Complex User Flows: Many existing flower shop websites require too many steps to complete an order, causing friction and increasing drop-off rates.

  3. Product Discovery: Helping users quickly find the right bouquet without overwhelming them with excessive filters or information.

  4. Mobile Experience: Ensuring the entire ordering process is comfortable and intuitive on mobile devices, where most users browse and purchase flowers.

My Approach

  1. Discovery Phase

  • Market Observation: Reviewed existing flower shop websites to identify common usability issues, visual inconsistencies, and overly complex checkout flows.

  • User Behavior Analysis: Focused on understanding how users typically choose flowers — browsing visually, comparing options quickly, and expecting a fast and stress-free ordering process.

  • Flow Definition: Defined a minimal and logical user flow from browsing bouquets to checkout, reducing unnecessary steps and decision fatigue.

  1. Design and System Development

  • UI/UX Design: Designed a calm, elegant interface that emphasizes product photography, clear typography, and balanced spacing to create a sense of trust and quality.

  • Product Pages: Created simple and informative product pages with clear pricing, bouquet details, and calls to action that guide users naturally toward purchase.

  • Checkout Flow: Designed a streamlined checkout process with minimal required input, clear progress indicators, and reassuring messaging to reduce friction.

  • Component-Based Design: Built reusable components for product cards, buttons, forms, and informational blocks to maintain consistency and scalability across the website.

  1. Testing and Iteration

  • Flow Review: Reviewed the complete user journey to ensure the ordering process feels smooth, predictable, and easy to complete.

  • Visual Refinement: Iterated on layout, spacing, and typography to enhance readability and highlight key actions without distracting from the products.

  • Mobile Validation: Refined mobile layouts to ensure comfortable interaction, easy form input, and clear navigation on smaller screens.

Results

The final concept presents Fleuriste as a modern, trustworthy, and visually refined flower shop. A simplified user flow combined with strong visual hierarchy makes browsing and ordering flowers feel intuitive and enjoyable.

This project demonstrates my ability to design e-commerce experiences that balance emotional appeal with usability, helping reduce friction and improve user confidence.

Future Plans

The concept could be extended with personalized bouquet recommendations, delivery scheduling improvements, and enhanced filtering to support different occasions and preferences.

Conclusion

This project highlights my approach to designing e-commerce products with a strong focus on user flow simplicity and visual trust. By creating Fleuriste as an original concept, I explored how clean UI, thoughtful UX decisions, and emotional design can improve the overall shopping experience for flower delivery services.
