Content Density: Educational platforms often contain large amounts of information. The challenge was to organize complex content — courses, categories, progress tracking, and learning materials — without overwhelming users.
Navigation & Discoverability: Ensuring users can quickly find relevant courses, filter content by category, and clearly understand what each course offers.
Learning Flow Clarity: Designing interfaces that support a smooth learning experience—from browsing courses to watching lessons, completing tasks, and tracking progress.
Consistency Across Pages: Maintaining a cohesive visual language and interaction patterns across multiple page types, including the homepage, course catalog, course detail pages, and lesson views.
My Approach
Discovery Phase
Concept Definition:
Defined the core idea of the platform and its target users, focusing on people who want to gain practical digital skills through structured online learning.User Scenarios: Identified key user scenarios such as browsing courses, starting lessons, completing tasks, and monitoring learning progress.
Information Architecture: Designed a clear content hierarchy to organize courses, modules, lessons, and supporting materials in a logical and accessible way.
Design and System Development
UI/UX Design: Designed the platform interface with a strong focus on clarity, readability, and visual hierarchy. Layouts guide users through the learning process step by step.
Course Catalog & Navigation: Created structured course listings with filters and categories to help users easily find relevant learning content.
Learning Experience Design: Designed lesson pages that balance video content, descriptions, and tasks, supporting focused and distraction-free learning.
Component-Based Design: Built reusable UI components in Figma for course cards, navigation elements, progress indicators, buttons, and form elements to ensure consistency and scalability across the platform.
Testing and Iteration
Flow Review: Reviewed user flows to ensure smooth navigation between courses, lessons, and progress sections.
Layout Refinement: Iterated on spacing, typography, and alignment to improve readability and reduce cognitive load on content-heavy pages.
Results
The final concept presents Future Learn as a modern, structured, and user-friendly education platform. Clear navigation, thoughtful content organization, and consistent UI patterns help users stay focused and engaged throughout the learning process.
This project demonstrates my ability to design complex platforms from scratch, work with information architecture, and apply system thinking to scalable digital products.
Future Plans
The concept could be extended with personalized learning paths, advanced progress tracking, and course recommendations based on user interests and activity.
